The monk has descended the mountain! Wenban officially ended the 10-day practice: or attract more NBA players to Shaolin

On June 18, Beijing time, according to a report by a Spurs blogger, Wembanyama completed the 10-day retreat training of Songshan Shaolin Temple yesterday (June 17), passed the Shaolin section product system examination, and was awarded the "Shaolin section". He is also the first NBA player in history to achieve the Shaolin Wushu rank. The scene of Wenban's farewell to Shaolin was exposed, and the first "monk" in history went down the mountain.

Wembanyama's Shaolin practice began on June 8, when most of his entourage left, leaving only his strength and conditioning instructor with him. During the 10 days of Shaolin practice, Wenban got up at 4:30 a.m. every day to train, ran near the Dharma Cave, and would also train in the depths of the Shaolin Temple, and at about 5 p.m., Wenban would come out for a second round of training. His morning began with silence, sweat, and tranquility. His afternoons are actually pretty much the same, training, meditating, and improving his level every day.

U.S. media reported that Wembanyama also plays basketball in his spare time. Occasionally, the monks would take pictures with him or ask for autographs, and tourists mostly ignored him because it was not some publicity stunt. It was a full-fledged retreat for Wenban. Because Wenban was absent from training in February this year due to deep vein thrombosis in his shoulder, this Shaolin sanctuary can provide both physical recovery and mental relaxation.

Wembanyama also used the 10 days to learn some Shaolin martial arts, and the scene of his continuous kicks has been exposed before, and it looks like it. He passed the Shaolin Kung Fu level assessment and obtained the entry-level Shaolin section.

U.S. media reported that Wembanyama will leave China to end this magical journey. His practice in Shaolin has also caused heated discussions in the United States. Some fans said that if Wemban's performance in the new season shines, it may attract more players to the mysterious Shaolin for physical and mental enlightenment.
