Clippers chasing Holiday partner Harden? The U.S. media listed a three-way trading plan: Bogdan and other three people became bargaining chips

On May 29, Beijing time, according to Celtics reporter Brian Rob, "Holiday is expected to be the target of multiple teams in the trade market, and a league source revealed that the Los Angeles Clippers are one of the teams expected to show interest in the 34-year-old guard this summer." Rob added that the Clippers were one of the teams participating in the bidding when the Celtics traded for Holiday in 2023.

The interest is logical: Holiday is still a top-tier defensive player who can run both with and without the ball on the offensive end. The Clippers lacked that kind of offensive and defensive guard role in their first-round loss to the Nuggets, and Holiday was a good fit for their needs. In addition, Clippers owner Ballmer is more than willing to invest in building a competitive team, so this hefty contract may not be a burden for them.

So how did the Clippers get Holiday in a trade? The U.S. media listed a framework for a three-way deal between the Celtics, Clippers, and Nets -

Celtic gets: Bogdan, Dunn

Clippers get: Jrue Holiday gets

The Nets get: Eubanks, draft compensation from both teams

In theory, the deal could be beneficial to all parties. The Celtics will cut $11 million in salary while getting two expiring contracts. In addition, Dunn and Bogdan are both reliable rotation players who can still contribute to the win.

The Clippers will get their long-coveted Holiday while only having to send away three expiring contracts. Dunn could be a player they don't want to send away, but the Clippers could replace him with players like Kobe Brown or Jordan Miller to complete a trade.

In the end, the Nets will receive some sort of draft asset in return for helping to broker the trade.

Do you think the Clippers should make a run for Holiday ? Feel free to leave a message to express your opinions.
