The women's football team of Chinese Taipei is about to head to South Korea for the 2025 East Asian Cup, yet they are faced with an extremely unreasonable layover schedule arranged by the Chinese Taipei FA. In this regard, the women's football union stated that after the players arrive in Taiwan on the evening of July 6, they will again leave for Korea at 7:30 AM the following morning, resulting in less than 5 hours of actual rest. The union harshly criticized that the FA, fully aware that a later flight could be arranged, insisted on this schedule, ignoring the players' physical and mental well-being, which further reveals the systemic indifference.

The statement pointed out that the funding for this trip to Korea has already been subsidized, and the itinerary was entirely decided by the Chinese Taipei FA, with the training center also confirming that there were flexible flight options. Nevertheless, the FA maintained the original plan during the meeting on the 24th, and the governing body chose to "respect" and "not intervene." The union firmly stated that such a decision shows that the FA does not consider the players worthy of protection and rest. From past disparities in treatment, allowances, and logistical disputes, to the current sacrifice of player rest, this reflects a long-standing structural issue where the system stands with the association rather than the players.
